Responsibilities include: distribute nutrition education materials and pamphlets to food pantry recipients; teach nutrition education and classes to individuals and groups; distribute a monthly recipe that coordinates with items in food boxes; create a monthly newsletter that is distributed to clients and posted on social media platforms; conduct food tastings and nutrition education lessons to food pantry recipients; data entry into client data systems; participate in training provided by the agency and required by the funder

Maintenance worker, full time-

Maplewood Adult Day Center Coordinator, full time-
Responsibilities include: overseeing the daily operation of Maplewood Adult Day Center; scheduling employees; planning daily activities for clients; maintaining the safety and security of the facility; developing individual care plans for each client
Requirements include: Bachelors of Science in Human Development or related field and a 2 year minimum experience in social or health services OR a high school diploma and minimum of 3 years’ experience in social or health services; skills to work with aging adults or adults with functional impairment

Farmers Market Checks for WIC Participants and Senior Citizens

The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program provide WIC participants and low income seniors with locally grown fruits and vegetables from approved farmers in PA.  Below is information regarding applications and checks for each program:   
Farmers market checks will be distributed to WIC participants throughout the summer months at their regularly scheduled WIC appointment.  If you have questions regarding your WIC appointment, please contact the Uniontown WIC office at 724-437-6050 ext. 3211. Eligible participants will receive 4 $6.00 vouchers for a total of $24.00.
Senior citizens:
Applications for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) will be accepted via mail or email.  SFMNP provides low income seniors with fresh, nutritious, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from approved farmers in PA. 
To qualify you must be 60 years or older (or turn 60 by 12/31/2020) and meet the following household income guideline: 
1 household member – total income can’t exceed $23,606
2 household members – total income can’t exceed $31,894
Once the application is received, a set of 4 checks, valued at $6 each for a total of $24, will be mailed to the residence of the senior citizen making the request.
