Souper Bowl of Caring 2020

January 13, 2020

Join us as we sponsor Souper Bowl Sunday 2020!

On February 2, 2020 millions of people throughout the nation will gather to watch the Super Bowl. Football fans, friends and families come together and enjoy plenty of delicious foods as they cheer their favorite team on to victory.

While Fayette County residents feast on their favorite finger foods, many of our closest neighbors still feel the pains of hunger. Because of Fayette County’s economic situation, the Fayette County Community Action Agency Food Bank has become an integral thread in the safety net supporting low-income families.

Souper Bowl Sunday is part of a national movement intended to use the excitement and energy surrounding the Super Bowl as a way to engage people in service while producing lasting hope for all people.

Participation is easy and takes little time. Your community can participate in the Souper Bowl Program by collecting donations of non-perishable food items. During the game, as fans enjoys the bounty of food before them, we ask that you help us to remind everyone to take a moment to reflect on their less fortunate neighbors, and encourage them to give to those in need.

Alternatively, you and your community can make a monetary donation. Every dollar donated to the Food Bank during this special event will enable us to provide $10.00 worth of nutritious food to needy families in our community. Monetary contributions can be mailed to: Fayette County Community Action Agency Food Bank, 108 North Beeson Boulevard, Uniontown, PA. 15401. Online donations can also be made: https://fayette-county-community-action.networkforgood.com/…

With your help, Souper Bowl Sunday 2020 will be our most successful year yet. Together we can work to meet the needs of those facing hunger and inadequate nutrition in our community. For additional information or if you need donation collections to be picked up, please contact us at the Food Bank at (724) 580 - 7001. Thank you for all you do to support our organization and the community we all love!

With gratitude,
The FCCAA Food Bank Team
