The Food Bank is in Need of Volunteers

April 2, 2020

The Fayette County Community Action Agency Food Bank continues to serve the residents of Fayette County through food pantries and distribution sites during the COVID-19 pandemic.  As the need of food assistance increases during this time, the Food Bank is in need of volunteers to help pack food boxes at their warehouse in Republic, PA.

Individuals looking to volunteer must be 18 years and older and in good health.  The Food Bank follows CDC and Department of Health guidelines to ensure the safety of volunteers. The Food Bank asks those who face a higher risk for COVID-19 and those who have recently traveled out of the country and out of the state to abstain from volunteering.  Those interested in volunteering can contact the Food Bank at 724-580-7001 to schedule days and times. The Food Bank is currently not accepting walk-in volunteers.

The continued support of volunteers and donors is essential to the Food Bank. Community Action is grateful for the individuals, businesses and organizations that have volunteered and donated to the Food Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.
