FCCAA offers education, training, and employment services through its Community Training Institute and the Work Ready program.
Since 2000, FCCAA has operated the Community Training Institute (CTI), a privately-licensed school approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. FCCAA's CTI has successfully administered the Nurse Aide Training Program since 2000. CTI’s Certified Nurse Aide students have had significant success with employment. Approximately 90% of students have become employed in the field, earning a wage of up to $12.00 per hour. The program addresses the needs of its students, the area’s employers, and the Fayette County Community.
The Work Ready program connects TANF recipients with the community resources needed to mediate or stabilize any barriers to employment. Assistance provided through the Work Ready program is designed to move participants toward employability and, ultimately, self-sufficiency.
FCCAA also provides employment experience and on-the-job training to economically disadvantaged youth and adults through the Private Industry Council, the Fayette County Assistance Office, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Green Thumb, and a variety of post-secondary learning institutions. Participants experience increased employability and exposure to good work skills and habits.
