Working together is a hallmark of Fayette County Community Action Agency. FCCAA works inter-dependently with a number of partners, affiliates, corporations, and organizations to provide services to unemployed and underemployed adults in the county; provide post-secondary and adult education classes; help arrange childcare for consumers; provide financial education to consumers; provide fair, permanent and supportive housing services throughout the county; administer emergency assistance programs; and alleviate hunger through numerous services. By linking the partner agencies, developing collaborative information sharing agreements, and cross-training workers, Fayette County is poised to provide more efficient service to social service consumers.
Partners and Affiliates
FCCAA is a member of various organizations such as Community Action Partnership, the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania, CAPLAW, National Community Action Foundation, and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. FCCAA is also a partner organization of Rural LISC.
Threshold Housing Development, Inc. is a regional affiliate that was established by FCCAA and Blueprints (formerly Community Action Southwest). Threshold’s goal is to provide affordable housing to low-income, elderly, and handicapped individuals and families in Fayette, Washington, and Greene Counties.
Keystone Hope Development LLC is a nonprofit developer of affordable housing. A partnership of Community Action Agencies, Keystone Hope helps other agencies plan, fund, and construct housing that helps create economic development in their regions. The partnership was formed to share expertise and experience with other Community Action Agencies throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.
