Weekend Snack Pack Program Overview
Bryce is a 7th grade student who appreciates the free breakfasts and lunches he receives at his middle school during the school year and through his district’s summer feeding program; he used to dread the hunger he faced on weekends. Now, Bryce receives a weekly snack pack at his school each Friday filled with drinks, cereals, entrees and snacks for the weekend. He takes his snack pack home, hides it in his bedroom and quietly shares items with his sister Carly who is in the 3rd grade.

The Weekend Snack Pack Program is an initiative of Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc. (FCCAA), founded in 1966 to address the varying needs of the community. FCCAA assists residents by featuring programs in the areas of Aging, Community Development, Education & Training, Housing and Nutrition.

Through cost-effective, performance-based programs, FCCAA helps families meet their needs, achieve financial stability and self-sufficiency by leveraging federal funding with local resources, private sector investments and strategic partnerships; low administrative costs ensure a strong return on donor investments.

FCCAA is committed to doubling the size of its Weekend Snack Pack Program that currently serves 150 school-aged children in the Albert Gallatin, Brownsville, Frazier and Uniontown school districts.

FCCAA’s 4th Annual Golf Outing’s proceeds will be utilized to expand the Weekend Snack Back Program in size and to also include optional hygiene products for students.
