Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc.’s (FCCAA) Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) serves as a one-stop center that supports residents to:

  • Secure credit and build assets
  • Access quality education or training
  • Earn sustainable-wage employment
  • Obtain health care
  • Find and maintain quality, affordable housing
  • Access homebuyer information courses
  • Attain and maintain economic self-sufficiency

The core elements of the FCCAA Financial Opportunity Center are financial education and coaching/counseling, employment servicesand the bundling of services.

FCCAA’s array of housing services provides comprehensive and innovative solutions for residents. The agency is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) as a housing counseling agency.

Services vary and are based on specific eligibility requirements:

  • Rent and security deposit assistance
  • Utility assistance 
  • Rental information and referral
  • Budget counseling
  • Fair and accessible housing advocacy
  • Tenant/landlord rights
  • Case management

Any resident or family interested in purchasing a home, working on improving their credit score (to purchase a home) or that is facing a home foreclosure can contact FCCAA to meet with a HUD Housing Counselor.
