The Nursing Assistant program includes seven weeks of daytime classroom and clinical instruction to prepare trainees to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities.  The classroom is equipped with 2 hospital beds, equipment, assistive devices and supplies needed to practice and acquire skills.

Trainees must meet the following graduation requirements to earn a Certificate of Completion from CTI:

  • 100% attendance
  • a cumulative average of 80% or higher on tests throughout the course and final exam
  • a proficiency of demonstrated skills in the lab and clinical experiences

Graduates then must pass the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Evaluation, scheduled at CTI’s In-Facility test site, to earn certification and placement on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
